Sound Art: A Symphony of Everyday Objects

• Age: 6 - 8 years old

• 5 Classes: 4, 11 18, 25 Oct (11:30 AM - 12:30 PM), 1 Nov Performance Day (2:00 PM - 3:30 PM)

• Engage in an experimental sound art programme (5 classes in total) to awaken kids’ music talent

• Explore surrounding sounds and turn them into music

• Learn to draw a sound map and make an upcycled xylophone with water bottles

• Participate in a public performance at K11 MUSEA

• A certificate issued by Orff Music Organization and K11 will be awarded to participants who complete all 3 modules

Family Workshop: Make a Thai Traditional Floating Lantern

• Loi Krathong is one of Thailand’s well-known festivals. Thais will launch their handmade floating lanterns on a river to make a wish and express blessings
• Learn and understand Thai traditional festivals and culture. Kids can try on traditional Thai costumes
• Parents and kids can make a floating lantern together and launch them on water to make wishes

Family Workshop: Storytelling of Who Am I ✕ Creative Christmas Cards

• Part of the ‘Art Without Boundaries’ theme which invites kids and parents to break the border with imagination
• A parent-child reading of the illustration book Who Am I?, instructed by the author, one of the most acclaimed creative directors in Hong Kong. Start a visual journey that begins with a little dot to explore art, design and knowledge
• Make special Christmas cards together with inspiration drawn from the illustration book
