Savoir-Faire: The Mastery of Craft in Fashion

Continuing an ongoing collaboration centred on haute couture together with the conservation of storied forms of craft from the East and West, New World Development CEO and K11 Founder Adrian Cheng joins forces with world-renowned fashion icon Carine Roitfeld to host the Savoir-Faire: The Mastery of Craft in Fashion— a grand celebration of artisanship, art and culture at K11 MUSEA this December.



The exhibition will showcase rare artefacts and modern pieces from the archives of K11 Craft & Guild Foundation’s (KCG), which was established by Cheng in 2018 to conserve and preserve Chinese traditional craftsmanship; alongside works of haute couture and prêt-à-porter from acclaimed design houses that include Balenciaga, Chanel, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Iris van Herpen, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Tom Ford, and Valentino, and avant-garde designers such as Richard Quinn and Tom Van der Borght.

Do you know how many insect species live in Hong Kong? 10,000, 20,000 or 30,000? No one knows the exact number, but for sure, they exceed any other groups of animals or plants in terms of diversity. Get Whisked Away to Nelson Chow’s Otherworldly ‘Dreamscape’

Explore a fantastical dreamland filled with light as you travel skywards on a sci-fi adventure. With a knack for crafting bespoke spaces emphasising on storied experiences, Hong Kong architect Nelson Chow imagines a surreal escape that whisks Hongkongers away from the mundane, as a glowing ‘space shuttle’ arrives on K11 MUSEA’s Bohemian Garden bestowing the gift of a pulsing, dormant cloud for all to experience up close, complete with otherworldly limited edition treats and merchandise from Elephant Grounds.

(Online Course) Little Nature Ambassador Programme

Description:
The “Little Nature Ambassador Programme” is curated by Nature Discovery Park in partnership with The Jane Goodall Institute Hong Kong – founded by United Nations Peace Ambassador, Dr. Jane Goodall. The Programme is also supported by local social organizations Beyond Vision Projects, AESIR and SLCO Community Resources Limited.

Each participant will be able to receive:
• An e-Certificate of Achievement signed by Nature Discovery Park and The Jane Goodall Institute Hong Kong upon completion of all modules.
• Four online modules - covering Earth, Sea and Sky natural elements, Hong Kong’s Biodiversity, Lifecycle of Plants, Sustainable Living Tips and Recycling Concepts to encourage children to adopt Eco-friendly daily habits.
• One Take-home learning kit – Nature Discovery Park Storybook, Tactile learning sheets with Braille and augmented reality-enabled sign bilingual vocabulary learning package.

Objective:
This programme aims to nurture a new generation of sustainability changemakers. Through the multi-sensory learning kit, children will discover the mysteries of nature and be motivated to care about the environment.
