Donut Playhouse: Donut Golf Club (May)

Donut Golf Club is the only science-themed indoor golf playground in Hong Kong. The playground consists of four areas, ‘Game Zone’, ‘Practice Zone’, ‘The Lawn’ and ‘The Leaderboard’.

In the ‘Game Zone’ are four differently designed tracks. Not only do these tracks test your kids’ skills, vision, coordination and accuracy in golf, but also learn the science theories of golf through observations. The ‘Practice Zone’ offers relatively simple tracks for your kids to practice and master their golf skills. ‘The Lawn’ allows you to take a break and capture the best moment of your children playing golf. If the children perform well, they can also challenge the champion throne and leave a record on the ‘The Leaderboard’. Come challenge yourself with Donut and Ah Meow!

Encounter - K11 MUSEA X WHITE CUBE

Encounter is a collaborative presentation between K11 and White Cube gallery, supported by K11 Art Foundation. Three major works by White Cube artists are unveiled at K11 MUSEA, including Rushmore (2016) and Afro–Ikebana (2019) by Theaster Gates, and Zizaach (2016) by Ibrahim Mahama.

These works come together to explore the encounter between culture and the materials used in the creation of their works. Artists often cross different media and cultural narratives in their practice to consider how art intersects with daily life.

The works of Theaster Gates brings together objects and ideas drawn from diverse cultures and human history, as well as political and social engagement. While in the work of Ibrahim Mahama, materials from everyday life in Ghana, such as jute sacks used to transport cocoa beans, are transformed to create installations that examine themes of globalisation, migration and commodity exchange.

The presentation at K11 MUSEA is open to the public (Victoria Dockside, 18 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, open 10am-10pm daily).
