As K11 MUSEA presents the Sotheby’s Hong Kong 2021 Autumn Auctions Preview — unveiling director Wong Kar Wai’s archival film memorabilia spanning 30 years — we invite a panel of speakers to take a retrospective look at Wong’s monumental career leading up to this point. In this latest installment of K11 Konversations, we delve into the legendary filmmaker’s body of work and the future of the film industry under a technological lens.

Discussing the importance of Wong Kar Wai’s work, special guests Felix Kwok and Max Moore of Sotheby’s and artist Raymond Fung chat with moderator Dr. Winnie Yee, Senior Lecturer of Comparative Literature at The University of Hong Kong on Sotheby’s unprecedented collaboration with the director, the impact of Wong’s avant-garde films and modern art, and the film and art industry going forward with technologies like NFT on the rise.

Online Eco-leadership Programme

Do you know how many insect species live in Hong Kong? 10,000, 20,000 or 30,000? No one knows the exact number, but for sure, they exceed any other groups of animals or plants in terms of diversity. Another certainty is the paramount role that insects play in the functioning and health of ecosystems, even if these roles are often underappreciated or even misunderstood by most people.

Nature Discovery Park and the School of Biological Sciences of The University of Hong Kong co-developed the online eco-leadership programme, which aims to introduce the ecological importance of biodiversity and participants will learn about the direct resources insects provide to human, as well as the influence they have in science and art.

Date: Self-paced with all modules to be completed by 31 Dec 2020

Part 2: Service-oriented little insects – why not!
