K11 MUSEA welcomed an unprecedented celebration of fashion spanning 200 years of couture in December 2022, inviting visitors on a journey of imagination and splendour.
A cultural exchange from east to west, past to present and beyond, this first-ever exhibition titled The Love of Couture: Artisanship in Fashion Beyond Time was a tribute to the indispensable influence of fashion throughout history.
Developed by K11 in collaboration with the V&A and designed by revered Hong Kong Production Designer William Chang Suk Ping, with UBS as the title sponsor, the exhibition showcased pieces from the V&A’s collection, and 6 emerging fashion designers’ responses to the storied garments.

Recognised as one of Hong Kong’s most esteemed production designers, fashion designers, stylists, and film editors, William Chang Suk Ping brought his creative vision to the once-in-a-lifetime exhibition at K11 MUSEA.
The V&A
The curation of 12 British and French womenswear pieces from the V&A, the world’s leading museum of art, design, and culture, spanned from the Victorian era to the 1960s, highlighting key moments in the history of couture.
6 Emerging Fashion Designers
Initiating a dialogue between the past and present, east and west, 6 East Asian fashion designers take inspiration from the pieces in the V&A’s collection to create their own contemporary response.
