With over 160 years of history, TSUJIRI is a matcha brand founded in 1860 by Mr. Tsujiri Uemon , Tsujiri Tea House anchors its core philosophy in the "Yūwa" spirit—blending innovation with tradition. Mr. Tsujiri Uemon devoted himself to refining the production method of Gyokuro, Japan’s premium green tea. This groundbreaking improvement reshaped the tea-making craft and has been passed down to this day. In honor of his outstanding contributions to Japan’s tea industry, local tea merchants in Kyoto jointly raised funds to erect a bronze statue of him at Byōdō-in Temple. Back in an era of extreme transportation inconvenience, to popularize tea across Japan, he invented the "tea chest", which could perfectly preserve the freshness and sweetness of tea during long-distance transportation. Upholding its century-long perseverance, Tsujiri Tea House stepped onto the international stage for the first time in 2010, committing to bringing the freshest Japanese tea to every customer around the world.

Now, after five years, TSUJIRI proudly returns with the reopening of its Hong Kong store, once again sharing authentic Japanese tea craftsmanship with the city
